PERMANENT JOB IN FINLAND

2. EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
Sign a written employment contract with the employer. Apply for a residence permit for the same period as your employment contract is valid.
Make an employment contract in writing. The employment contract and the reliability of the company will be assessed during the permit application process.
3. RESIDENCE PERMIT
Apply for a residence permit in the Enter Finland online service and visit a service point to prove your identity.
Provide the required attachments to the permit application to the employee or submit them directly in the Enter Finland service.
You can start working as soon as you get a residence permit. You can only work in the professional field that is stated on your residence permit.
Make sure that the employee has the right to work. Focus on inducting the new employee into the job and appoint a support person for them.
5. EXTENDED PERMIT
Apply for an extended permit well in advance, up to 3 months before your residence permit expires, so that you can continue working without interruption.
Provide the required attachments to the extended permit application without delay. You should also consider updating the employment contract with the employee.
